2009-2010 Fine Arts Calendar for The Bolles School, including Gallery Schedules
“Grade Four Play” - Michael Fritton, director, Andrea Duke, music director, and Helen Meatte, art director will be presented at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30th
in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“Grade One Play” - Michael Fritton, director, Andrea Duke, music director, and Helen Meatte, art director will be presented at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28th in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“Grade Two Play” - Michael Fritton, director, Andrea Duke, music director, and Helen Meatte, art director will be presented at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11th in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“Oklahoma!” - Laura Rippel, director, Rachel Clifton, music director, Angela Blackledge, choreographer, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 19th – 21st in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus. Reservations are required: 256-5246
“The Upper School Symphonic Band Fall Concert” - Donald Zentz, conductor, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1st in the Parker Auditorium on the Bartram Campus.
“The Middle School Chorus Fall Concert” - Rachel Clifton, conductor, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 3rd in the Parker Auditorium on the Bartram Campus.
“The Upper School Chorus Concert” - Rachel Clifton, conductor, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8th in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“The Middle School Band Fall Concert” - Margaret Vance, conductor, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 10th in the Parker Auditorium on the Bartram Campus.
“Whitehurst Campus Holiday Concert with Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Grades One and Two” - Andrea Duke, director, will be presented at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15th in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“Whitehurst Campus Holiday Concert with Grades Three, Four, and Five” - Andrea Duke, director, will be presented at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16th in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“Ponte Vedra Campus Holiday Concert” - Andrea Duke, director, will be presented at 9 a.m. with Pre-Kindergarten – Second Grade, and at 10:30 a.m. with Third – Fifth Grade on Friday, December 18th at the Ponte Vedra Campus.
“Drama Showcase” - Laura Rippel, director, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, January 6th and 7th in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“Kindergarten Play” - Michael Fritton, director, Andrea Duke, music director, and Helen Meatte, art director will be presented at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27th in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“Independent Schools Solo & Ensemble Festival” for middle and upper school instrumentalists will be held from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 30th at Mandarin Presbyterian Church.

“Private Schools Honor Band”, comprised of select symphonic band members from private schools within the district, will be held on Saturday, February 27th at 7:30 p.m. in Terry Concert Hall on campus at Jacksonville University.
“Independent Schools Music Festival” for The Bolles Middle School Intermediate Band and The Bolles Upper School Symphonic Band, will be held 3-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 11th in the Parker Auditorium on the Bartram Campus.
“Spring Play – TBA,” Laura Rippel, director, will be presented at 7:30 PM on Thursday Friday, and Saturday, March 18 - 20th in the McGehee Auditorium on the San Jose Campus.
“Bolles Jazz Night” - featuring the Bartram Jazz Ensemble, Margaret Vance, director, and the Upper School Jazz Ensemble, Donald Zentz, director, will be presented on Tuesday, March 23rd at 7:30 p.m. in the Parker Auditorium on the Bartram Campus. Special guests will conclude the evening of jazz.

“Phoenix Society” honor inductions for upperclassmen excelling in two or more of the arts will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 6th in the Lynch Theater on the San Jose Campus.

Bolles Hall Lobby:
September - May: Upper School student work will rotate on a monthly basis and those students who have artwork in Bolles Hall will be included in the reception held in the Gooding Gallery on scheduled months as per the calendar above. .
Hemming Plaza Jewelers Gallery: AP Student Art Exhibit
Reception: Wednesday, February 3rd from 5-9 p.m. in conjunction with Art Walk. Bolles show will be on exhibit the entire month of February.

There will be a rotation of 3 shows during the year (once every 4 months) that showcases Whitehurst Campus artwork: May – August / September – December / January – April
