Improvisation/Playwright's Workshop
Do you enjoy acting? Do you enjoy writing? Come join Mrs. Lane for a workshop in improvisation and play writing. Students will learn the basics of writing a play and how to use improvisation to create fresh and exciting drama.
Taught by Laura Lane. Maximum number of students is 16. Sessions will be held in classroom K126
Middle School Girls Yoga 101
Empowering teenage girls through yoga! Unwind, strengthen your core, and find your inner self in this yoga class. Bring a yoga mat and water.
Taught by Laura Boswell. Max number of students is 16. Sessions will be held in the Cafeteria on the stage.
The Child as a Hero on a Journey
An analysis of film with Mr. Creter. "We will explore and discuss the repeating theme of the archetypal hero who leaves home, has an adventure, and returns home as a better person." Great for students with a strong interest in English. Films to be reviewed include: Alice in Wonderland (original Disney cartoon), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (original 1971 film), The Wizard of Oz (original film), The Lion King (Disney), and more!
Taught by Tim Creter. Maximum number of students is 16. Sessions will be held in classroom H-100.

Channeling Picasso
Let your imagination go as you discover your artistic side in this Arts and Crafts Class! Express yourself through a variety of projects that may include: string art, origami, tessellations, nature collage, picture frames, designing your own comic books and much more! Create your very own masterpieces that you can take home to enjoy!
Taught by Kellie Rainka. There is an additional $15 charge for supplies. Maximum number of students is 15. Sessions will be held in classroom ML 211.
Puzzles and games!
Challenge your mind while having fun. Test your brain power in friendly competition with yourself or an opponent. Chess, Sudoku, puzzles, dominos, canasta, and more will be provided.
Taught by Pat Helwig. Maximum number of students is 16. Sessions will be held in the Miller Room.
THURSDAYS
American Sign Language Class
Do you have an interest in American Sign Language? This class is the place for you! Students will learn the basic skills necessary for American Sign Language communication including signed vocabulary, fingerspelling, and numbers as well as the history of ASL! This class is designed to give students a secure foundation for signed communication.
Taught by Jessica Mechoso. Maximum number of students is 16. Sessions will be held in classroom ML 213.
Additional Enrichment
9th Period
Offered Monday through Friday, 3:45-5:45 p.m.
9th Period is an After School Program that will consist of an outdoor activity, snack, and supervised study hall. Students will be able to work on homework, study, and participate in group projects together. $55 per week
