Bolles Wins 17th FHSAA All-Sports Award
2011-12 Teams Match Best State Title Count in School History

The Bolles School swept the Class 4A Private School classification in the final 2011-12 Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Awards point standings, finishing atop the overall, boys, and girls categories. This marks the 17th year Bolles has won the Sunshine Cup, earning the award for 11 consecutive years from 1995-2005 and again from 2007-12.
With 1,196 points, Bolles finished 396 points better than second-place Lake Highland Prep in the 4A Private School rankings. Bolles placed third in total points among all classifications behind 5A American Heritage Plantation and 7A St. Thomas Aquinas.

The success of Bolles Athletics this year included five state titles (football, boys’ golf, boys’ swimming and diving, girls’ swimming and diving, girls’ tennis), matching the most state titles by Bolles teams in a school year (2004-05, 2008-09) and bringing the total state title count in School history to 103.
Bolles teams in 2011-12 also produced two state runner-up finishes (girls’ cross country, girls’ soccer) and two state semifinal appearances (volleyball, boys’ soccer).
