Whitehurst Pre-K Presents The Jungles of PreKania
Students in the Whitehurst Campus Pre-Kindergarten presented
The Jungles of PreKania on May 2 in McGehee Auditorium. The play’s plot involved the King of “PreKania” holding a talent show among the animals and declaring all of them winners at the conclusion of the contest. He explained to the puzzled animals that each one of us is special, we are all talented, and though we may be different, we all have something to offer. The theme tied into the School’s new brand- All Things Possible. Original songs performed in the play were “Gotta Be Me”, “Everybody’s Good at Something”, and “That Makes the World Go ’Round”.
The play was written and directed by
Michael Fritton, with original music by
Andrea Duke, the backdrop was created by the students under the direction of
Helen Meatte, and
Andy Payne assisted with lighting design and stage set-up.
