Phoebe Jin ’14, Candice Fan ’14, and Ashan-wa Aliogo ‘13 attended the Academic Banquet. The requirement to receive an invitation is to earn a GPA within the top 10% of all students in their grade.

Congratulations to the following girls who were inducted into the National Language Honor Society on April 10, 2013: Chandler Bechy ’14 (Spanish), Delanie McGinnis ‘14 (Spanish), and Ashan-wa Aliogo ’13 (French).

Congratulation to Grace Hui ’14  who won 1st place in solo and sight playing at the Greater Jax Piano Competition.on April 6, 2013.

Congratulations to Chandler Beachy ’14 who won our ResLife Annual T-shirt design contest. She will receive a $50 gift card and we will all receive a shirt with her design.

Congratulations to  Chandler Beachy ’14, a member of the girls’ tennis team, placing second at the Class 2A state tournament, held April 16-19 at Red Bug Lake Park in Casselberry. The Bolles scoring was led by Caroline Crouch ’14 winning at #5 singles and Crouch and Chandler Beachy ’14 finishing as runner-up at #2 doubles.

Congratulations to Julianne Gillis ’13, member of the Varsity Track Team, who advanced from the District to the Regional competition in the discus.

Congratulations to Genevieve Miller ’13 who has accepted a congressional appointment to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to join the class of 2017.

Congratulations to the girl boarders who were inducted into the Bolles School Alpha Chapter of the National Honor Society during its annual spring ceremony. Among inductees are junior boarders Chandler Beachy ’14, Candice Fan ’14, and Hwajin Kang ’14. Two of the senior boarder members served during the candle ceremony, Julianne Gillis  ’13 as candle-bearer and Ashan-Wa Aliogo ’13 as scribe. Genevieve Miller ’13 and  Samantha Merta ’14 are also members of NHS.

This year the Ladies of Bartram sold Candygrams for Valentine’s Day as a fundraiser for the organization of their choice.  These students will be sending a check for $434  to benefit the Special Olympics of Duval County.  Great job!

On February 2 the Regional Latin Forum was held at Wolfson High School and boarders Julianne Gillis '13 and Bridget Stavoy '14 competed in a variety of contests.  Julianne was awarded 1st place for the chariot race competition and 2nd place for pottery in the arts and crafts division.  Bridget claimed 2nd place in the 100 meter run. Congratulations!

Several girl boarders participated in the Mu Alpha Theta regional competition held on January 19 at Fleming Island High School.  Candice Fan '15 competed on the team that won fifth place in the Calculus category. Angel Jin '15 competed on the team that took third place in the Statistics category.

competed in the 20th Annual Young Artist Competition sponsored by the Bach Festival Society on November 17, 2012  at Rollins College where she placed 3rd overall in the piano division.

Welcome back to all of the returning and new boarding students! Many activities took place during Orientation Weekend at the Girls’ Dorms including a Tower Building Contest in which each dorm family was given random articles such as marshmallows and balloons to build the tallest structure.   The Mechoso family (Chandler Beachy ’14, Phoebe Jin ’14, Olga Lapteva ’16, Samantha Merta ’14, Natalia Sierra Prada ’14, Mayuko Sugiyama ’14, Siwan Thomas ’14) took first place in this engineering competition!
 
Genevieve Miller ’13, Tove Bjork ’13, Smacker Miles ’13, Rocio Carreno ’15, Yuka Kato ’14, Olga Lapteva ’16, Samantha Merta ’14, and Siwan Thomas ’14  are members of the Bolles Varsity Swim Team.
 
Chandler Beachy ’14, and Maria Gutierrez ’15 are members of the Bolles Cross Country Team.
