Important Changes to Tax Law
Tax-Free Distributions from IRAs for Charitable Purposes

After years of proposals that have failed, the new tax law finally permits individuals to make direct IRA distributions to charity without having to include the distribution in gross income. In particular, the new tax law permits up to $100,000 to be contributed each year directly to charity for the 2006 and 2007 tax years. Please consult your tax advisor for additional information.
