IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE LUNCH PROGRAM

At Bolles we look for every opportunity to educate and the dining services program is no exception. The “Spotlight Program” is featured through the labeling of all items prepared in the dining hall with red, yellow, or green dots which represent the frequency in which items should be consumed. Red dots should be considered carefully and consumed less while increasing the consumption of green dots and balancing the two with the yellow dot items is most beneficial.

We offer the boarding students an innovative “Educational Seasonings” program where they are introduced to food items and alternatives from around the world and in our own backyard. This year we have prepared meals that featured items that were not only locally cultivated but many of the items were organic. We recently offered sugar and sweetener alternatives by introducing them to items such as local honey and agave.

We are proud of the items that are featured on our daily menus and commit to keeping our meals fresh, diverse, and exciting. Your dining services team not only prepares the daily items offered for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks but also provides the menus and caterings at the many events that Bolles hosts on each campus. This includes everything from special luncheons and dinners for visitors to weddings and other special events held on campus.

Our menus are featured here each week for your convenience. We offer two hot entrees, with fresh vegetables and side items daily along with an abundant salad bar and deli bar. Featured items in the deli, salad, and fresh dessert areas are highlighted and many of our patrons look forward to those time and again. Our soup bar offers two made from scratch soups with one vegetarian choice each day. There is something for everyone including homemade pizza baked and served hot out of the oven, grilled burgers, and hot dogs.

The Bolles Dining Service is pleased to offer the Food Service Plan on the Middle School Bartram Campus, and on the Upper School San Jose Campus in the Canteen and Verlander Hall, the main dining room.

The Food Service plan allows your child to quickly and easily purchase meals and snacks using his or her Bolles student ID number. Each time they visit the register, the student enters their ID number and, for security, the register displays their photograph. When the purchase is completed, the account is debited. (Returning student photos are on file; new student photos will be taken on orientation days.)

Please note that all lunch related transactions will now be handled exclusively through Café Prepay. You can register your account at www.cafeprepay.com . If you already registered with Café Prepay last year, your account balance is available on line.

Café Prepay is an easy and safe way to establish and account that is used to pay for your child’s lunches. Benefits of this service are:

  • Account balances can be viewed online at any time, at no charge. (Please note monthly statements will no longer be mailed.)
  • Automatically replenish your child’s account when their account balance falls below a specified level, or schedule a monthly deduction for replenishment.
  • View a 30 day history of your child’s cafeteria activity.
  • Payments in the form of VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card are accepted.
  • Accounts can be established with a minimum payment of $50 and a maximum payment of $500. (Please note that a $5.00 processing fee applies per student / per transaction. There are no other fees or charges).
  • Any funds in the account will roll over to the following school year or can be refunded by request.
