Our children have everything they could possibly want or need, or do they? Why do they never seem to be satisfied? Why do they exhibit negative behaviors even though they are so lucky? How does technology contribute to the disconnections they seem to feel?
Katie Cussen will begin the roundtable discussion with her reflections on Boys Adrift: The Five Factors Driving the Growing Epidemic of Unmotivated Boys and Underachieving Young Men by Leonard Sax. The meeting will continue with an open discussion of the way affluence can sap the energy and enthusiasm from our boys and our girls alike.
Please join us for this interesting lunch hour. Water and a snack will be provided, or you can bring a brown-bag lunch.
