Head of School — David J. Farace
Dear Bolles School Community:
The Bolles mission to educate and develop servant-leaders who pursue excellence through courage, integrity and compassion is what sets Bolles apart. This ethos permeates every corner of every campus and influences every decision we make in support of our students. Our faculty and staff do not just teach “The Bolles Way,” they model it.
The Bolles School motto, All Things Possible, refers to the incredible breadth of opportunities in academics, arts, athletics and service. We offer a seven-day boarding program that attracts students from 22 countries and 11 states, 22 Advanced Placement courses, five world languages, five international exchange programs, 85 clubs and activities, more than 100 arts performances and gallery openings and 51 sports teams that have claimed 123 state championships! Exposure to so many extraordinary opportunities is a signature strength of the Bolles student experience.
Bolles offers an incredibly strong and comprehensive college counseling program led by a team of four counselors with more than 70 years of collective experience in college admission counseling. The team is committed to helping students conduct thorough college searches aimed at finding the right fit for each individual. Members of the Class of 2016 were accepted to 189 different colleges and universities and 77% were offered over $3.7 million in merit-based scholarships. Two seniors were named National Merit Finalists. Most important, our alumni report that they were exceptionally well-prepared for college both in an out of the classroom.
There are not many independent schools nationally that match the beauty or safety of our campuses. With more than 90 acres of property – including historic buildings, spectacular views of the St. Johns River and close proximity to the beach – Bolles’ four campuses inspire the best in teaching and learning. Our professional security staff, trained and dedicated to serve our students and faculty, gives me great peace of mind as a Head of School and the parent of three Bolles students.
I am humbled and honored to serve such an exceptional school community.
