National Honor Society A committee composed of administrators, teachers, advisors, and college counselors participates in the selection process for membership of the National Honor Society. Students must have met all four criteria of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Extensive discussion and research from faculty who teach those being considered are the focus of the process. Students become eligible for consideration during the junior year. In the senior year, additional students who meet the four criteria are selected. Following the tapping of those chosen in the second semester, students are inducted at an evening candlelight ceremony. Bolles' Alpha Chapter of the National Honor Society was chartered in 1944.
