Postseason in Full Swing for Bolles Spring Sports
Bolles' upper school spring sports teams are competing in or have recently completed postseason play.
Baseball: Finished the regular season with a record of 19-9. Defeated Bishop Snyder 7-1 in the first game of the District 4-3A tournament hosted by Fernandina Beach High School Monday, April 21-Thursday, April 24. Bolles plays Yulee on Tuesday, April 22.
Crew: Competes in the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association state championship regatta in Tampa Saturday-Sunday, April 26-27.
Lacrosse: Won the program's fourth consecutive district title. Fell to Nease in the regional finals and finished with an overall record of 11-6.
Softball: Won the program's second-ever district title and the first since 1992. Currently holds an overall record of 16-9 and will host Florida High in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 22.
Tennis: Boys and girls teams both won district and region titles. Competing in the state tournament in Sanford Monday-Wednesday, April 21-23.
Track and Field: Girls placed fourth at the district meet and sixth at region meet. Boys placed third at district meet and second at region meet. Compete at the state meet Saturday, April 26 in Winter Park . Individual state meet qualifiers on the girls squad are Kiera Blakely (100 and 200 meter dashes), Kaitlyn Iselborn (3200 meter run), and Rebecca Chandler (800 meter run). State qualifiers for the boys are Mike Triglia (discus), Brent Benedict (shot put), Kenny McClain (110 and 300 meter hurdles), and Jake Jung (3200 meter run). Bolles also qualified relay teams in the girls' 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800, and boys' 4x400 and 4x800.
Weightlifting: Tied for seventh in the team scoring at the state meet. Of the state qualifiers from Bolles, Logan McDonald placed second in the 183 lb. class, Waylon Cox placed fourth in the 129 lb. class, and Austin Perry placed 12th in the 199 lb. class.
