Ponte Vedra Beach Faculty Wait Tables for Good Cause
Several Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus faculty and staff members waited tables at the Bogey Grille in Ponte Vedra on Tuesday, February 5. The two hour shift that evening was part of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Johns County's 13th annual “Tips for Kids Sake!” fundraiser.
Most of the dinner crowd that evening at Bogey Grille consisted of Bolles families, with more than 50 in attendance. Several families, who were not able to attend, still sent in a “tip” to the school office. The Ponte Vedra Beach Campus group raised $1,804. The “wait staff” included Fred Scott, Faye Goodman, Barbara Glynn, Robyn Gioia, Amy Imfeld, and Anne Fallon.
This year's “Tips for Kids Sake!” included 16 restaurants throughout St. Johns County and 100 volunteer waiters. The event is the major fundraiser of the year for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Johns County. The money goes to expand mentoring programs throughout the county.
