Middle School Band Spring Concert
Congratulations to the Middle School Band Program under the direction of Mrs. Maggie Vance. The bands finished out their performance year with the Annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Lovett Center’s Parker Auditorium on the Middle School Bartram Campus. The 32-member Beginning Band performed five pieces, followed with six selections by the 38-member Intermediate Band. The program featured some patriotic favorites including The Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful and The Washington Post March. The concert was capped off with a joint performance by both bands on the piece Gates of Orion. Having the combined middle school band of 70 members was a powerful and memorable experience!
Band members and parents were treated to a wonderful reception immediately following the concert in the Murchinson-Lane Gallery. Thanks to Dr. Anne Reichheld and Mrs. Billie Bernhardt for their efforts!
