In what has become a tradition with Jazz Night, guest artists performed the last set of the concert. This year’s guests were former students and colleagues of Don Zentz from his nine-year tenure as a music professor at UNF. Performing were J.B. Scott (trumpet), Lisa Kelly-Scott (vocals), Doug Matthews (piano), Ricky Ravelo (bass), and Craig Barnette (drums). For this reunion, Don Zentz joined them on saxophone. They performed “Beautiful Love,” “All Blues,” “Just Friends,” “Stompin’ at the Savoy,” and “Summertime.”

It was very special for the students to have the key benefactors of the new fine arts building in attendance at this concert. Don Zentz recognized Betsy Lovett, Helen Lane, and Jeff and Debbie Parker.
