Elias Farah ’12 Makes Dream Come True, Receives Volunteer Award

Bolles eighth grade student Elias Farah not only made a CD of his own music, he made a dream come true. In an effort to help others, Farah recorded, helped produce, and marketed a CD of him playing holiday favorites on keyboard. He was able to raise nearly $2,700 through the sale of the CD with all proceeds going to the Dreams Come True Foundation. Farah presented the donation to a child with a life-threatening injury, contributing to the child's dream of attending several theme parks in the Orlando area with his family.

For his efforts, Farah has been selected by Volunteer Jacksonville as the recipient of the Heart of Tomorrow award.  He will be recognized at Volunteer Jacksonville's 2008 “Celebration of Service” awards banquet on Thursday, April 3, at the Times-Union Center.

The Times-Union also ran an article about Farah's efforts. Click HERE to view the article on-line.
