College Counseling 201


College Counseling 201, a program designed for parents of 10th-graders, will be held on the following dates:

  • Monday, February 8 at 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, February 9 at noon [Session almost full]
  • Wednesday, February 10 at 8:15 a.m. 

Space is limited, so be sure to sign up by calling Mrs. Valorie Baker at 904-256-5240 by Friday, February 5

All sessions will be held in the Alumni Conference Room in Bolles Hall on the San Jose Campus.  Our presentation will address several aspects of the college search, including myths surrounding college prestige and student success; appropriate goals and limits for parents during the college search; and Bolles admission data at a number of colleges and universities.  As part of the program we will examine a series of “scattergrams” that offer admission data by college and that can help students and parents see where an applicant fits into a particular college’s admission profile.  At the end of the program we will have a question-and-answer session to respond to any specific queries you might have.
