Bolles Swimming and Diving Moves on to State

The Bolles boys' and girls' swimming and diving squads won regional titles on Friday, October 26, in Panama City. The boys scored 627.5 points, 372.5 points ahead of the runner-up squad from Arnold. The girls totaled 686 points, 392 points ahead of runner-up Episcopal.

Individual event winners for the boys' team include Byron Plapp (200 and 500 freestyle), Jowan Qupty (200 IM and 100 breaststroke), Rodion Davelaar (50 freestyle), William Hartje (1 meter diving), and Branden Whitehurst (100 freestyle). Bolles also won the 200 freestyle relay (Paul Numbers, Plapp, Jimmy Gaston, and Brian Forte) and 400 freestyle relay (Tommy Gutman, Whitehurst, Gaston, and Plapp).

For the Bolles girls' squad, individual winners included Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace (200 freestyle and 100 butterfly), Tori Richmond (200 IM and 100 breaststroke), Ashley Butler (50 freestyle), Danielle Risley (1 meter diving), and Aubrey Peacock (100 freestyle and 100 backstroke). Bolles swept the girls' relay events including the 200 medley relay (Peacock, Danielle Beaubrun, Pink Kinanti, and Butler), the 200 freestyle relay (Vanderpool-Wallace, Dana Nessler, Butler, and Richmond), and the 400 freestyle relay (Vanderpool-Wallace, Peacock, Emilie Hilsted, and Richmond.
