Bolles Places Second Among E-Cycle Jax Donations

The Bolles School placed second among 53 area schools that contributed to the recent E-cycle Jax Electronics for Education drive. Sponsored by the University of North Florida Students in Free Enterprise organization, the E-cycle Jax drive collected discarded electronic equipment in an effort to recycle the parts instead of just sending it on to landfills.

Bolles students, staff, and families contributed almost 1,500 pounds to the drive. Overall, the drive collected just over 10,000 pounds. The top three contributing schools were recognized. Elise Brown, UNF SIFE project manager, visited the San Jose Campus on May 29 to present President and Head of School John E. Trainer, Jr., Ph.D. and faculty member Carol Matthews the School's prize. Matthews signed Bolles up for the drive. In keeping with the recycling theme, the School was presented a refurbished desktop computer.
