Bolles Athletics Ranked Third in Nation by MaxPreps


Bolles Athletics logoThe Bolles athletic program ranks third in the nation in the web site MaxPreps' 2008-09 listing of the top 10 high school athletic programs in the nation. Bolles is the only high school in Florida on the list.

The 2008-09 school year produced a record number of top-two finishes in state competition for Bolles varsity sports teams. Bolles claimed a total of five team state titles in the 2008-09 school year (boys' and girls' swimming and diving, football, boys' soccer, and baseball), tying for the most state titles won by Bolles teams with the 2004-05 year (boys' and girls' swimming, football, girls' cross country, and girls' tennis).  The 2008-09 sports teams also produced four state runner-up finishes (girls' cross country, girls' soccer, softball, and  boys' tennis), resulting in nine Bolles teams placing in the top two in the state in their respective sports, the most in any year for Bolles.

In addition, the girls' volleyball team reached the state semifinals, the boys' and girls' golf teams both placed fifth at state, the girls' tennis team placed fifth at state, and three Bolles boats won state titles in rowing.
