Baseball, Softball Advance in Postseason
The Bolles baseball and softball teams have both advanced in postseason play following victories on April 28.
The baseball team defeated tournament host Fernandina Beach 5-4 in a District 3-3A semifinal. The Bulldogs advance to face Episcopal in the championship game on Thursday, April 29, at 7 p.m. Both district finalists will move on to the Region 1-3A quarterfinals on Tuesday, May 4. The winner of the district final will host a quarterfinal game, while the losing team will travel.
The softball team defeated Baker County 6-0 in a Region 1-3A quarterfinal at Bolles. The game actually began on April 27, but weather conditions suspended play until the following day. Bolles next hosts Keystone Heights in a regional semifinal on Friday, April 30, at 7 p.m. The winner of the Bolles-Keystone Heights game will face the winner of Madison County-Florida High in the Region 1 final on Tuesday, May 4.
