2008 Phoenix Honors Society Induction
The Phoenix Honors Society recognizes those juniors and seniors who demonstrate both passion and exceptional skill in two or more areas of the fine and performing arts. These students participate in both the curricular and extra-curricular fine arts program, and have made outstanding contributions.
Also each year, a special member of the School community is inducted into the Phoenix Honors Society based on his or her contribution to the arts at Bolles. This year, Quinn Barton '46, School historian and archivist, was chosen unanimously by the faculty based on his eternal support of the fine and performing arts. Barton attends every performance of every show and is a familiar face at the gallery openings. He takes the time to seek out students to tell them how much he appreciated their work and often writes notes of praise and appreciation to the fine and performing arts faculty about each performance. Barton is beloved by both faculty and students alike.
