Spring Break is Approaching Fast
There are two weeks left until spring break and The Bolles School’s boarding students, along with all of the dormitory families, are looking forward to a much deserved break from the rigors of the school year. The break means that the majority of students will get to spend some time with their families before the final leg of the school year commences.
The last few months have seen plenty of great accomplishments by our boarders, and the staff is proud of all of them. Our resident hockey players are setting off this weekend for a major hockey competition. Our resident swimmers just capped off a big win at a huge Florida swimming competition. We have members of the track team getting back into training, lacrosse players playing games, and a whole slew of people finding ways to compete and improve themselves as they make the transition towards eventual adulthood.
But the most important thing remains their safety and academic success. We have had a mostly smooth year in the dorm though one of our proudest accomplishments is the number of people NOT in supervised study hall. So many boys have performed in the classroom that our list of students in supervised study hall has dwindled to nine (some of them are required to be there because they are freshman. Otherwise there would only be three names on the list!).
In addition to the overall dorm’s success in school, a number of our boarders are now members of the prestigious National Honor Society. Inductees include Bryce Bertoli, John Bernandino, Sean Lee, Soo Young Jeong, Sung Su Kim, Il Kwon, Mark Lumpa, and Taylor Vincent. The students were inducted in February and stand at the pinnacle of academic success in the dorm. Jun Suk Lee is a current member, inducted last year.
We look forward to a very relaxing spring break and the final stretch of the school year. With their hard work and their families’ support we are confident it will be another successful run in The Bolles School boys’ dormitory.
