Girls Basketball vs Fernandina Beach1
The days of opposing teams marking one player appear to be over at Bolles. Several Bolles players are emerging as scoring threats and that was never more evident in the 60-35 district victory over Fernandina Beach. The Lady Bulldogs improved their record to 15-4.
Freshman point guard Ali Walker knocked down three three pointers and finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Fellow freshman Isa Griffay was perfect from the field and free throw line with an impressive eight points, two rebounds and four steals. And yet another freshman, center Tori Reiman had eight points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal. Katie Gonino contributed seven rebounds along with four points. Junior Hannah Conte reached double figures with 12 points to go along with her three rebounds and two steals.
Bolles led 30-16 at the half. Senior Amanda Zakoske continued to be a rebounding force from her guard position with nine rebounds and nine points.
The Lady Bulldogs have two consecutive road games against Yulee and Baldwin Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
