Baseball Team: Way to Go! 6 Wins in a Row! A nice game was put together against a disciplined Eagles View team to win 10 to 3. On defense, two nice plays were made that saved runs while on offense there were 6 extra base hits! Thanks to Taylor Burdsall and Diana Akabekjan for a fine performance of the national anthem! Good luck today at Home versus Arlington Country Day!

The softball team won its first-round tournament game Monday evening in smashing fashion. Eagle’s View scored two quick runs in the first inning to grab the lead, but after that it was all Bolles. Sarah Bates’ long, high drive deep to left center turned into a triple and signaled the arrival of our offense, and aggressive, hustling base running, especially by Gina Maiolo and McKenzie Wilson, kept the pressure on. Soon, Bolles had the lead and the bases were loaded. Gina Lambiase stepped to the plate. Working the count, she finally found the pitch she wanted and laced a liner up the middle. It skipped all the way to the fence and the race was on—she stepped on the plate just ahead of the tag for a grand salami. From there, the hits kept coming—a liner over the first base bag by Lily Whitehouse, a soft bloop into the outfield by Leah Jimenez, a bunt single by McKenzie, sharp grounder past the shortstop by Margaret Conolly, and the runs piled up, 14 in all. Pitcher Abby Brantley, as usual, slammed the door shut on our frustrated opponent to end the game. Now the team is on to a semifinal game vs. Providence on Thursday. Great job, girls, and good luck on Thursday!
