- Baseball vs Providence at HOME, 4:30 p.m.
Lacrosse: Hale Wise and Michael Cassidy each scored a goal for the Blue Team but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Episcopal A Team yesterday afternoon. Dexter Carter and Tim Gonino had solid games in the “hustle department” and Chris Rogowski, Alec Lerner, and Andrew Lee ran well between the lines. Come out and see the Orange Team play Episcopal A Team today on the front field, 4:30!
The baseball team played well as they defeated Episcopal 14-1 on Tuesday. Great pitching, timely hitting, and good defense allowed for a fine all around performance. This makes 4 wins in a row with a challenging game versus Providence coming up on Thursday.
Last night the softball team took on perennial powerhouse Providence on the varsity field on the San Jose Campus. The team’s hot hitting continued with Caroline Elksnis, Mallory Ramirez, and Haley Wildes each smoking line drives and wicked grounders for two hits apiece. Grace Edwards had a hit and scored two runs, and Wildes pitched well to keep the lid on a good hitting lineup—but as the game wound down, things tightened up a bit… In the seventh, the bases were loaded and with the dangerous number-three batter at the plate, our wily catcher Ramirez rifled a surprise throw to Emily Hume at third to pick off a runner and end the game. Wow! Nice job girls!
