TODAY:
8TH Grade Gradventure at Universal Studios will depart at 4:00pm and return at 3:00am

The Bartram Scene Study class is presenting the musical HOW TO EAT LIKE A CHILD on Wednesday, May 14th , in the Lovett Center at 7:00 p.m. The performance is a benefit for Youth Against Cancer and we are asking for a 5.00 donation at the door. The performance should last about one hour. This promises to be a fun filled evening, so come on out, have a great time, and help support Youth Against Cancer!

MANDATORY DRESS CODE REQUIRED BY UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
UNIVERSAL’S GRADVENTURE

To make this trip an exciting, fun and safe evening for everyone, we ask that you follow a few important guidelines.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Buses will leave campus at 4:00 p.m. and should arrive at Universal around 7:00 p.m..

Buses will leave Universal at 11:30 p.m.and should return to Bartram around 3:00 a.m..

Students are responsible for meeting their assigned chaperone at the designated time and location for departure. Be sure to let your ride home know what time to pick you up at Bartram!

PROPER ATTIRE: Students bringing backpacks will have to leave them on the buses. NO BACKPACKS ARE PERMITTED IN THE PARK! Any other bags are subject to search, as per Universal. Remember, the less you bring the less you have to keep track of! The trip is on Friday so you can wear your “B” uniform. If you decide to change from your “B” uniform after school here are the rules:

*Wear khaki shorts and any short sleeved BOLLES shirt.
*Wear comfortable shoes (including tennis shoes, sandals and flip-flops).

*Wear shirts and shoes at all times.

DO NOT WEAR:
*RAGGED OR RIPPED JEANS OR SHORTS.
*TANK TOPS OR BATHING SUITS.

The Bolles Chaperones and Universal reserves the right to refuse entrance to any student improperly dressed or groomed. Please do not be the one who is made an example of, follow the rules and everyone can have a good time!

The 8th Grade Business Sale will be Wednesday, May 14th, and Thursday, May 15th during 6th and 7th grade lunch. There will be a variety of products to buy. To purchase an item you will have to pay with a ticket. 8th Grade businesses will NOT accept cash. Tickets will be sold during 6th and 7th grade lunch on Monday, May 12th and Tuesday, May 13th. They will also be sold at a table the day of the Business Sale Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets will be sold in .50 or $1.00 denominations.

Lacrosse: If you haven’t signed up for lacrosse camp yet, there is still time. Stop by Coach Hoey’s room for an application!

Cross Country: If you are interested in competing on the cross country team this fall, conditioning will begin this week at the track on the San Jose Campus. Meet after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. All middle school students are welcome; if you cannot come out every day, try to make at least one or two days of conditioning so you can get information about the cross country program.
