One of the top 36 teams of 600 in the state invited to the tournament, the Terabyte Terrors prepared weeks for the tournament and garnered from the competition in the way of experience and team-building.

Students built and programmed their robot to perform during the robot games and presented a recycling research project to a panel of judges. The Terrors also presented their robot design to technical judges and performed team-building activities to evaluate their teamwork skills.

"The higher competition at the tournament made it a lot more fun," said Matthew Keller '21.

"For a first-year team, qualifying and competing in a state robotics tournament is a truly remarkable achievement," said team coach Mark Meyers. "These students worked dozens of hours after school, on weekends, and even during school breaks. Beyond the technical skills they learned, the students' dedication, teamwork, and pure grit they gained will stay with them for the rest of their lives. I am so very proud of them all."
