Admission
Bolles is more than a school — it is an educational experience that enriches students for the rest of their lives. We are an extended family of children, parents, and faculty, all actively involved in student success.
The Bolles School emphasizes excellence not only in academics, but in athletics, the arts, and other activities that promote social experiences and community service. As a college preparatory school, Bolles encourages students to participate in a variety of activities.
Enrolling students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12, Bolles teaches the value of self-discipline, respect, personal responsibility and compassion. In lower school, we encourage the beginnings of structured learning through exploration and nurturing. Our middle school program teaches students to take on more personal responsibility and begin honing their interests. And in upper school, our rigorous program prepares students for college and beyond.
Bolles offers a comprehensive 9-12 College Counseling program that is based upon two fundamental beliefs:
1. The college choice is a process which requires well-honed research and decision-making skills.
2. The college choice should be geared to the individual, and that student and college should be appropriately matched.

Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Bolles has four campuses and extensive resources. One of the most valuable resources is the faculty — those dedicated men and women who unlock learning in the classroom. Chosen for expertise in their field, our teachers are internationally recognized leaders with a passion for teaching. Understanding the importance of education, many of our teachers hold master’s degrees and several have also earned their doctorates. We also encourage their continued learning through conferences, workshops and seminars. This allows them to share new concepts and ideas with students.
Though Bolles is distinguished for its academic program, admissions are not based solely on a student’s report card. Just as we consider academics part of a whole education, we also consider the whole student. Attitude is a big part of what makes a Bolles student. We look for children who are committed to learning and willing to work hard. Students must also respect themselves and others, as outlined in the Bolles Honor Code. Such students can succeed at Bolles — and not just in the classroom, but onstage, at a science fair, or on a football field.
